Cinematica is an international festival that deals specifically with the image-movement relationship in the visual and performing arts.
The festival, along with the programme that includes video and film screenings, performances, exhibitions, installations and laboratories, wants to convey new trends in audiovisual and performance experimentations, with a strong focus on bodily and perceptual root. The underlying theme of the VIII edition (June on the Adriatic seaport town of Ancona-IT) is 'TOUCH ME'.
We can't avoid the thought of the worldwide pandemic caused by COVID-19 and even if we don't want to point out aspects of this taft period we wish to challenge artist to be creative even if in lockdown situation, finding ways to be in touch, despite of social distancing.

So we suggest a creative reflection on how to be in embodied relation using sensitive perception through audiovisual media. How can we use filming and body motion to "touch" people and provoke a kind of physical reaction? We can take as example the contemporary ASMR ( Autonomous sensory median response) videos that uses a particular way of recording sounds and images provoking physical responses.
We are looking for works that explore how videodance can enhance this sense of nearness, giving to people the sensation of touch (even metaphorical touch), even if not in presence.
On this theme, expressed with the utmost freedom, we collect artistic proposals for the 2021 edition of the Festival.

-To give our contribute to this difficult period we decide to increase the first prize and decrease the entry fee (50%). We hope you appreciate.

-The organization reserves the right to choose, from among the shortlisted, an author to whom possibly entrust a videodance future project set in the city of Ancona.
