Bando 2023 | Cinedanza

"Cinedanza Festival" is an International Screendance Contest and Festival. It'll take place in Modena (last weekend of October) and is organized by Drama Teatro, in collaboration with Ribalta Experimental Film Festival, ARCI Modena, FMAV (Visual Arts Foundation) and Emilia Romagna Teatro Foundation, supported by Comune di Modena

The aim of "Cinedanza Festival" is to promote screendance in Italy through a competition and a festival. You'll see films from all over the world and talk with dancers, choreographers, directors, video-makers and artists from Italy and Europe.

Cinedanza Festival wants to become a point of reference for Italian artists and not only, a festival in which to deepen the screendance and the related arts.

This 5th edition has 2 juries and 2 sections.

For the "Screendance Award" there are the Expert Jury and the Young Jury.

The Expert Jury awards the following prizes:

1) € 800

2) € 400

3) € 200

In addition, the 3 selected films will be screened in other locations and festivals during the year.

The Young Jury will choose 2 films that will be screened together with the films chosen by the Expert Jury.

For the new section called "Screendance Dwelling", the "Expert Jury" will choose 1 film to be screened in other film festivals + a 100€ cash prize

SCREENDANCE AWARDS

- All Films must be submitted to the Cinedanza Festival by 31st August 2023

- The films will undergo a pre-selection by the Expert Jury together with the Artistic Committee. The organization will notify the results to the participants by 25th September 2023.

- Maximum film length is 10 minutes

- The films must be produced after 1st January 2021, we're interested in the last 2 years of screendance world

- The films have to be subtitled in italian or english

- ENTRY FEE 20€ (for Gold members 15€)

SCREENDANCE DWELLING

- All Films must be submitted to the Cinedanza Festival by 31st August 2023

- The films will undergo a pre-selection by the Expert Jury together with the Artistic Committee. The organization will notify the results to the participants by 25th September 2023.

- Maximum film length is 3 minutes

- The films must be produced, filmed and edited using the smartphone apps

- The theme underneath has to be "what is home to me?", "where is the place I dwell in?", that means the location is important.
